New machine: embedded box
A box (Raspberry Pi) drives the motors and an optional touchscreen; it takes payment via a certified terminal or a companion payment terminal.
Existing machine: terminal retrofit
We don't touch the machine — we replace its terminal with an Android payment terminal: it takes payment, talks to the machine over MDB, and reports everything to the cloud, in a single visit.
